Success Story —Maddie’s Journey to Confidence & Calm

Business Group At A Workshop In The Office

“I honestly didn’t realise how much I needed this coaching until I was halfway through it.”

— Maddie L., 29, freelance graphic designer

Before I started coaching, I was constantly overwhelmed. My relationship with food was tangled up in stress, control, and guilt. I’d skip meals while working, then binge at night. I told myself I was “being productive,” but the truth was—I was disconnected from myself.

It wasn’t just about food. I didn’t feel grounded. My anxiety was high. I kept putting everyone else first—clients, friends, deadlines—but ignoring my body and my needs.

Then I found this course. And everything began to shift.

The Turning Point

One of the biggest breakthroughs came during Week 2, when we worked on body respect and self-compassion. I realised I was speaking to myself in ways I’d never speak to a friend. That hurt to see—but it also empowered me to change.

The journaling prompts, the mindful eating exercises, the check-ins… they all created space for me to slow down and finally listen to what my body was telling me. I stopped skipping meals. I started walking outside every morning—not to burn calories, but to clear my head and feel present.

What Changed for Me

• I no longer feel out of control around food.

• I’ve learned to notice when I’m emotionally hungry—and respond with care, not snacks.

• My sleep and focus have improved.

• I speak to myself with kindness now, even on tough days.

This program helped me reconnect with myself in ways I didn’t even expect. It’s about so much more than food—it’s about coming back to your body and saying: I trust you.

Maddie’s Tips for Anyone Starting Out:

  1. Do the sessions regularly.

    • Even when you’re busy. Especially when you’re busy. The consistency creates the transformation.

  2. Take the journaling seriously.

    • It’s where the truth bubbles up.

  3. Go at your own pace.

    • If something hits hard, pause and reflect. This is your journey.

  4. Don’t aim for “perfect.”

    • Aim for connection, honesty, and self-love.
